In addition to our Articles of Faith, Calvary Baptist Church has put together the following list of Core Values. These Biblical ideals help us as we determine our ministry priorities and direction. They are the framework out of which every ministry at Calvary Baptist Church grows and functions.

 

• A commitment to prayer is fundamental to every aspect of our relationship with God, faith, and ministry: (Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
   

• God is pleased and glorified by our worshipping Him in spirit and in truth (Psalm 95:1-7, John 4:23-24, Ephesians 5:19-20)
   

• Caring intimate fellowship cultivates unity and growth:
  (Galatians 6:2, Philippians 2:1-4, Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 John 1:3-7)
   

• Clear biblical teaching is vital to fostering spiritual development:

• Applying the study of God’s Word to our lives is essential to our progress in Christian maturity: (Colossians 2:6-8; 3:17, 2 Timothy 3:14-17)
   

• Discipleship is a key component to developing followers of Jesus:

• All fully committed followers of Christ are to serve Him according to the manner in which He has gifted them: (Luke 9:23, 1 Corinthians 12, James 1:22)
